Liberty Middle School: Liberty Middle is a Healthy School

      Liberty Middle School was one of 125 schools in South Carolina to be recognized as a “Healthy School” by the United States Department of Agriculture. The award includes the banner, a plaque and a monetary prize. Liberty Middle School: Greenville Drive Reading All-Stars

    Students from Pickens, Greenville and Spartanburg counties that participated in the Greenville Drive Reading All-Stars program were celebrated Monday night at the Drive game. For reading a minimum of 4 books, these students got a free ticket to the game, Drive t-shirt,  and got to march in a pre-game parade around the field. LMS is proud of our Reading (Continued...)

Liberty Middle School: Doolittle Named Teacher of the Year

     Congratulations to Mr. Geoff Doolittle for being named LMS 2012 Teacher of the Year!  Mr. Doolittle teaches Algebra I Honors, Algebra I, and 8th grade math.  He can also be seen driving teams to athletic events and running the clock and scoreboard at football and basketball games.

     Congratulations to Mrs. Beverly Watson for being named LMS 2012 Support Employee of the Year!  Mrs. Watson is our school secretary and receptionist.  She greets visitors when they arrive at our school, and she's the friendly voice callers hear on the phone.  She's been known to take care of sick students, and she's a constant source of (Continued...)

Liberty Middle School: March of Dimes Campaign Very Successful

 The Student Council would like to thank all the homerooms that participated in our campaign to raise money for the March of Dimes.  We raised $450 to help in the march against birth defects for T.J’s Trotters Team.  We would like to especially thank Mrs. Putnam’s homeroom who raised $160 and will now get to enjoy free slushies in the near (Continued...)

Liberty Middle School: Karina VegaMonrroy Chosen for Summer Program

Liberty Middle School: Camp Xceleration 2012

 Tri-County Technical College will be offering a four day Robotics themed summer camp for students ages 10-12. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes materials, instruction from Tri-County Technical College Engineering Technology faculty, snacks, t-shirt, and field trip to a museum.  For more information and an application, please click here.

Liberty Middle School: Beta Club Reading Buddies

 7th and 8th Grade Beta Club members are enjoying the time they are spending with students from Liberty Elementary School.  Thirty Beta Club members are placed in elementary school classrooms and work one on one with students on reading skills.
